PkBox renews QSCD certification
PkBox – Intesi Group’s Signature server – has renewed its certification as a QSCD (Qualified Signature Creation Device) according to the EU 910/2014 eIDAS regulation.
The certification is based on the CEN EN 419 241-1:2018 standard that defines the security requirements for “Trustworthy Systems Supporting Server Signing” (TW4S) systems, i.e., suitable for generating signatures reliably.
The two main changes are support for the latest FIPS-certified firmware for Entrust nCipher HSMs (version 12.72.1) and support for RedHat 8 and RedHat 9 operating systems.
The certification process was handled by A-SIT – an Austrian certification body – which has made the certificate available here.
The body notified the EU Commission of the certification, and the list of qualified devices was updated.
