Intesi Group declared compliant with eIDAS 2: a milestone built on commitment, expertise, and reliability

Some achievements arrive not as a surprise, but as the natural outcome of work carried out with method, expertise, and clear objectives—supported by a strong team spirit.

This is how we could describe yet another milestone reached by Intesi Group. By submitting to AgID an additional compliance assessment report – prepared and issued by an independent accredited conformity assessment body – the company has obtained Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) status for the management of qualified devices used to create remote electronic signatures and electronic seals.

Having successfully completed the comprehensive and rigorous process of compliance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2024/1183—better known as eIDAS 2 – Intesi Group is now a Qualified Trust Service Provider fully compliant with the new European regulatory framework.

Intesi Group has also achieved qualification for the management of qualified devices for the creation of remote electronic signatures and electronic seals, reaffirming its commitment to delivering secure, innovative digital trust services that comply with the most advanced European standards.

Such a milestone cannot be achieved through improvisation.

eIDAS 2 has, in fact, substantially rewritten the rules of the game for all European QTSPs: identity proofing requirements have become more stringent, qualified device management infrastructures must meet higher standards, and the ability to document the entire compliance chain is now non-negotiable.

How can organizations respond to all of this?

With strategic vision, strong technical and regulatory expertise, and, last but not least, professionals who are willing to take responsibility, oversee every stage of the process, persevere through the most challenging moments, and combine a broad perspective with a sharp focus on the final objective.

At Intesi Group, the entire compliance journey was led by Francesco Barcellini –  Head of Qualified Trust Services – together with the Compliance Team.

“We expected this result – not out of arrogance, but because we believe that compliance cannot be optional for a company like ours, which has always operated in the field of digital trust. It is the minimum we owe our customers and the market” – says Francesco Barcellini.

“At the same time, however, it would be a mistake to underestimate the complexity of the path we have taken. It has been a long and demanding process. What makes us proud is not only the achievement itself, but also the way we reached it: through a combination of teamwork, expertise, and determination.

This mindset is typical of an organization like ours, which – compared to larger and more structured companies – relies on a lean decision-making process, direct involvement, and a flexibility that has become a defining characteristic of our established way of working.”

Organizations that choose Intesi Group, both in Italy and across the other member States of the European Union, can therefore rely on a partner that is already operating in full alignment with the new European regulatory framework.

There is no need to wait for future compliance upgrades, nor to worry about potential risks of service disruption or regulatory uncertainty.
